My Fees

Standard Fees - 2007-2008 School Year

Payable on Delivery of Services

 
  • $300 Local School Visit for a day (up to 5 presentations). If I've already been to your school and it's a repeat visit, we'll work something out.

     
  • $100 minimum for one classroom presentation.

     
  • $50 to $75 Honorarium:
    Libraries
    Pre-schools

     
  • $300 Out of State School Visit, plus traveling expenses, room, meals. (See Personal Note, below)

     
  • With the exception of Metro Atlanta, which is local, when I drive to your school, there will be a $.50 per mile charge added in or the cost of gas (your choice).

    Outside of Georgia (and depending on your location in the S.E.) it might be less expensive for a plane, train or bus ticket -- lots of special online fare deals these days.

    **Personal Note: I will assume the cost of transportation if you can get me five or more schools in your local area.

     

There are ways to get me to your school for less:


1. Split the cost of transportation, lodging, meals with other local schools in your town. I'll spend one day in 'School A', one day in 'School B', one day in 'School C', etc.

2.Have a school raffle and sell tickets for a copy of On The High Seas before my visit to your school. Tell me and I'll even donate the book for your raffle.

3. Have a school raffle and/or advertise in the local paper about a whole town raffle and sell tickets for a "Dinner with the Author" night at a nice restaurant. The winners will have my undivided attention for the evening.

4. Arrange for a fun place in your area for me to take my husband on a mini vacation -- a cabin in the mountains, an apartment on the beach, a  Bed and Breakfast, etc. You arrange the accommodations for a few days, I'll spend a day at your school for free.

5. Arrange to have me come to your school when I'm already going to be in your area and save the cost of transportation.
